Synopsis: The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of ZD6474 in patients with NSCLC after Failure of Prior Platinum-based Chemotherapy.

Study Type: Interventional, Treatment, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo Control, Parallel Assignment, Safety/Efficacy Study
Minimum Age/Maximum Age: 18 Years/
Genders: Both
Protocol Entry Criteria: Inclusion Criteria: - Histologic or cytologic confirmation of NSCLC (locally advanced or metastatic, IB-IV) - Failure of first-line platinum-based chemotherapy - WHO Performance status 0 or 1 Exclusion Criteria: - Mixed small cell or non–small-cell histology - Bronchoalveolar carcinoma - Prior chemotherapy or herbal preparations must be discontinued more than 4 weeks before the start of study therapy (6 weeks for nitrosoureas, mitomycin and suramin) - Prior treatment with docetaxel - Prior treatment with agents that block the EGF or VEGF pathways - Significant cardiac event (including symptomatic heart failure or angina) within 3 months of entry or presence of cardiac disease that in the opinion of the Investigator increases the risk of ventricular arrhythmia - History of clinically significant arrhythmia which is symptomatic or requires treatment, or a symptomatic sustained ventricular tachycardia
